Truth was sent on trial

Two thousand years from now,
Pilate asked “what is truth” of the one who embodied it (John 18:38).
Pilate’s question reverberated down through history.
Some asked to know, some asked in mockery,
and so they prolonged their agony.
Two thousand years from now,
Truth was arrested,
humiliated and sent on trial.
Then, Truth was declared guilty
because Truth claimed to be God in flesh.
They called it blasphemy,
and told the Truth that it should die.
But little did they know – Truth can’t die.
It’s power over death awakened humanity
and people realized that their hope was Truth,
and Truth was everything they ever needed.
